Nancy Drew Season 1 Episode 5 – TV Review

Omg, could you imagine?

I had the same itch with Nancy Drew that I had with Riverdale this week, and very nearly tossed it in the Discontinued bin where it belongs.

But like Riverdale, I’m going to give Miss Drew one more shot.

Because ghost possession in this universe is wacky and apparently easily-accepted by the characters, which was a pleasant surprise to me.

Nancy Drew Season 1 Episode 3 – TV Review

Seriously, this place never has any customers. Who aren’t murder victims or ghosts, at least.

Imagine this sloppy mess of an episode being the one that airs the same week that it’s announced the show has gotten picked up for a full season.

Between this, Legacies, and dear God poor Riverdale, I have to wonder what the fuck is happening over at The CW.

Just keep Dynasty inside the protective salt circle, though, and I’m willing to endure it.

Until they devolved into comedy-only shadows of their former selves.

Sadly, this attempt at a gritty return to form misinterpreted “gritty” as “boring, standard slasher movie.”
