Let’s hear it for Culhane, who comes in at the end of the episode and steals the jush factor in a major and delicious upset.
Kirby is there, too. Looking fucking flawless.
Oh, and Blake is kidnapped and Sam saves him with the help of Danny Trejo or whatever.
But look at Kirby!
I must say, they had me in the first half when the episode was apparently going to overly centre on a fashion podcast.
But goddamn if Dynasty didn’t get me with yet another caper episode. That makes two in a row! And the reveal was even juicier this time, because it was all a complete surprise to me.
You rascally Carringtons.
That’s right, bitches. It’s a Liam and Fallon caper episode.
And even when it’s against his will, he’s still kinda game. And I respect that.
Though, to be clear, doing things without consent, even when it’s a woman doing it to a man, is not cool. Do you hear that, Dominique?
Did you really think Dynasty could get everyone into a courtroom and then resist trotting out the Alexis reveal?
And I’m so glad for their lack of willpower. Because it is camp, bitch.
Still kinda waiting for Nathalie Kelley to jump out of a box, though. That would be the gag of the entire series.
It was going to be a tough ask to compete with the Thanksgiving episodes of seasons past (could anything ever out-gay the Wizard of Oz fantasy sequence?), and this episode sadly doesn’t live up to those standards.
But goddamn, the closing scene got me in what I will happily proclaim is the gag of the season.
And with dreamy bedroom eyes Liam opening the episode, it’s not a bad sandwich. The turkey’s just a little dry in the middle. That’s all.
