I don’t care if he is futile and largely sidelined. Kai is the breath of fresh, mischievous air that TVD has been in dire need of ever since his death.
Even the season with the lesbian vampires wasn’t any fun. What the fuck was up with that?
Thank god our king/queen is back.
I was going to use a different first image for this review. Because something actually of excitement and note occurs.
But the moment truly is worth keeping as a surprise.
Of my two dying wishes for this show, it fulfills one of them.
Well, the fucking twins are still around.
And TVD pulls a plot point that it already used five seasons ago.
I don’t know if even Katherine’s return could save things at this point.
Yes. Sirens. Plural.
Because why settle for one should-have-been-on-Supernatural villainess who struggles to act, when you can have two?
Bring back Kai, then we’ll talk.
Bonnie’s pain is a tiny consolation prize to the rest of this pointless, sappy episode.
Maybe season 7 will pull a reverse season 5, and have its second half come in to save its so-far abysmal first?
Well, my smarmy assertion last week about TVD’s fall against The Originals’ rise seems to be holding true.
The Originals had a powerful, knockout episode this week.
And poor TVD had to dangle the deaths of its leading men in an attempt to force us to feel anything about this once great soap.
Okay okay, put down your disco balls and amyl nitrite. Queenie’s here only for about two seconds’ worth of fanservice.
No, what really matters is Emma’s love for Hook.
And Hook’s daddy issues.
What a great combination for an episode, right?
