The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 16 – TV Review
TVD Series Finale Pros/Cons List:
Cons: was shit.
Pros: had Katherine.
Eh, I’ll take it.
The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 15 – TV Review
No, really. I am concerned.
Katherine isn’t in this episode. Which means we only have next week’s finale left, and I’m gonna guess there’s a strong chance that Nina Dobrev will need to spend at least a little bit of that episode as Elena.
I want more Katherine than we’ve gotten, is what I’m saying. And a fuckton less of Matt’s fucking family.
The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 13 – TV Review
I don’t care if he is futile and largely sidelined. Kai is the breath of fresh, mischievous air that TVD has been in dire need of ever since his death.
Even the season with the lesbian vampires wasn’t any fun. What the fuck was up with that?
Thank god our king/queen is back.
The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 11 – TV Review

You know the rest.
Stefan/Damon does something heinous because of mind control. There’s your synopsis.
It must be another episode of TVD Season 8.
The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 9 – TV Review
I mean, I knew the Sirens were tedious and arbitrary.
But did they have to shed that same arbitrary tedium all over our main characters, too?
The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 8 – TV Review

For the second season in a row? Oh, Rayna.
At least Alexandra Chando’s young doctor doesn’t tease us with the possibility of becoming an actual character, like Rayna did.
And it was nice of TVD to throw her a bone after passing her up all those years ago, thereby sentencing her to ABC Family Hell.
Thanks, Season 8.
The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 3 – TV Review

Bitch, you are not even close.
Tonight, someone dies.
But it’s not any of the three central characters involved in the obviously toothless death ultimatum plot.
I do feel kind of bad for Tyler, though. Even Sarah bloody Salvatore got a whole episode for her death. All Tyler gets is a single scene?
Ouch.
The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 1 – TV Review

The eighth season of a show that lost its lead actress two years ago, thus creating a meandering, passionless vacuum is one of those storms.
I remember a time when I would salivate at the thought of the next episode of The Vampire Diaries each week.
Yeah, I hurled a lot of abuse (like, a lot) Elena’s way, but without her, TVD has gone from OMG, appointment television to merely a chore.
It’s yet to reach PLL levels of “I literally don’t give a fuck what’s happening, and I’m only here out of morbid completionism,” but it’s not good.
Let’s just hope TVD’s demise doesn’t drag The Originals down with it.
The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 15 – TV Review
The amazing, resurrecting Rayna Cruz turns out to be surprisingly easy to dispatch, after all.
But doing so would mean the death of a TVD loved one.
So, two birds, one stone, right?
