Kath & Kimderella – CBF Review

Kath & Kimderella pink princess dress

Kim knows how to rock that shit.

I was gonna do a full review for this.

Then I watched it and experienced the bland emptiness of a tired series that was once so dear to me.

So now I’m really looking forward to that Veronica Mars movie.

The “plot” of Kath & Kimderella is some shit about the foxy ladies going on holiday to Papilloma. They are mistaken for rich people (because buying fake designer brands will do that?) and are romanced by some royalty. Situations, some of which are humorous, ensue. Eventually we find out that Kath and Kim actually are royalty, Sharon is probably gay, the status quo relationships with Kel and Brett are restored, and nothing of value is gained or lost.

I hate this movie because going outside of Fountain Lakes (hell, outside of Australia) demolishes all of the excellent, ocker humour that makes Kath & Kim work; the theme song isn’t in it (a crime!); and Kim got too tanned and attractive, which ruins the entire point of her character.

You should watch because any Kath & Kim is better than no Kath & Kim; there are a shit-ton of gay jokes about Sharon; and the girl who plays Isabella is Huntress from Arrow.

Verdict: 2 out of 5 stars.

Literally any 1 episode of the first 3 series is better than this.

The only part I'm missing is the Italy.

All time should be wine time.

I usually like Kath and Kim. This movie was garbage. Painful to watch. Kel was funny as always, and Frank Woodley’s sign language scree was hilarious, but otherwise the movie is total crap.
