Season Review: Game of Thrones Season 2

I actually watched season 2 over a couple of days back in March, but have been putting off posting about it because my post about season 1 was such a piece of shit.
See, even I can be self-aware sometimes.
Whatever. The point is: I’m going to try to be less offensive this time ’round, but if you do have any complaints, I’m offloading all responsibility to Teylen.

I’d question whether the absurd runtimes of the Lord of the Rings trilogy taught Peter Jackson anything, but considering how popular the extended versions are, it’d be moot.
So what I’m saying is, I hate when movies are too long.
TV Review: The Vampire Diaries Season 4 Episode 23
You know, Revenge had a pretty good shot at the best finale I’ve seen this week.
It’s certainly ahead of Once Upon a Time. And Glee (but there’s no surprise there. At all).
But TVD always brings the goods in finales. Always.
Maybe Revenge will have its revenge (ah ha!) next season.
If I can make it through Revenge’s next season.
CBF Review: The Master

I actually feel really sucky about giving Compliance a CBF Review.
I genuinely thought it was fantastic and wasn’t far off considering it for an It’s Not Shit entry (that’s 2 close calls this week).
Hell, it’s even my 3rd 4 star review this week.
But I don’t really have much to say about Compliance. It’s just a pretty good movie.

TV Review: Revenge Season 2 Episodes 21 and 22
Considering how real shit is about to get, I thought I’d start off with something light.
The last time there was a double episode finale I wasn’t ready.
This time I knew it was coming and, considering this is Revenge and not 30 Rock, I was quite ready for it to all be over.
But dammit, ABC. Now I actually want to watch next season. I’ve come so far.
They must have sucked the effort out of the Once Upon a Time finale and injected it here.
